The second curling cut, with a different scene on the ice
Same steel and the same rail as the first, drawn differently. Between the two, this is the one people choose when the display is going somewhere public — a clubhouse wall rather than a hallway at home.
Practical note for clubs: two units mount flush side by side, so a rink that fills one over a few seasons can extend rather than replace. Every unit ships with standoffs, screws and a paper drilling template.
Between the two curling cuts, this is the one clubs pick for a clubhouse wall. It reads at distance better than the first, which is drawn finer.
The same medal display is cut in several widths. Buying as a gift? Count what is already in the drawer and go one size up.
Size & capacity
| Size | Steel | 1 rail | 2 rails | 3 rails |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 45 x 8 cm | 2.5 mm | 13-20 | 24-36 | 34-50 |
| 60 x 11 cm | 3 mm | 21-30 | 38-55 | 55-75 |
| 75 x 11.5 cm | 3 mm | 31-45 | 55-80 | 75-110 |
Not sure which size?
For a clubhouse display holding a club history rather than one player's medals, start at 75 cm and plan for a second unit. This design is produced from 45 cm upwards — the cut-out detail doesn't hold at smaller widths.
Why stainless steel, not painted sheet metal
The medal hanger is cut from AISI 304 stainless steel (V2A / 1.4301), 2.5-3 mm thick depending on the width. Not painted sheet metal that chips at the first knock.
And it holds a continuous rail, not hooks. Twelve hooks means twelve medals. A rail holds as many as fit.
Putting it up
The standoffs hold it a centimetre off the wall, which is what gives the shadow line. Template, screws and plugs are included; you need a drill and ten minutes.
After the first one is full
They're made to pair. A second unit sits flush against the first and the run reads as a single display. The widest version holds up to 110 medals across three rails.
Shipping & returns
This medal hanger is made in the EU in our own workshop and dispatched in 3–5 working days. Fourteen days to return it.
